Citi Performing Arts Center FREE Celebrate Musical Theatre Workshops - Are you between the ages of 10 and 13?  Want to improve your musical theatre abilities and have a blast in the musical experience of the summer? Citi Performing Arts Center is now accepting Registration Forms for its summer Celebrate Musical Theatre: Sing Out Loud FREE Workshops July 12-August 6, 2010. Workshops will take place in four featured Boston neighborhoods. All levels of experience are welcome – just a willingness to try all musical theatre disciplines: singing, dancing, and acting. All Access Boston Harbor Program: Save the Harbor/Save the Bay - A fun, FREE daytrip that allows kids from your organization to have an outdoor adventure day on the waters and islands of Boston Harbor. This year we will set sail every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 6th to August 19th. Reservations are required and space is available first come, first serve. Free HIV Testing - Know Your Status: Get Tested! Testing starts at 2:30-4:00pm at IBA-Cacique Youth Learning Center, 100 West Dedham Street, Boston, MA. Youth tested receive a free movie pass. In addition, there's an opportunity for youth to get involved in training, public speaking and outreach regarding health issues.

Fit Source: Physical Acitivity and Nutrition Resources for Child Care Settings: A Web Directory for Providers - Housed within the website of the National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), Fit Source offers links to activities, lesson plans, healthy recipes, information for parents, and many other downloadable tools that can be used to incorporate physical activity and nutrition into child care and after school programs. Financial Aid for College: TERI College Planning Centers - Free financial aid application for Massachusetts Residents. Millions of dollars are available through the state-funded Mass Grant program, the federal government, and colleges & universities. To receive financial aid, students must apply for aid as soon after January 1st as possible. ASPIRE is a therapeutic After School Program serving 65 at-risk youth at the Frederick Pilot Middle School in Dorchester. The program offers homework help, tutoring, mentoring, family outreach and creative enrichment activities. The ASPIRE program takes place Monday through Thursday, 3:30 to 6:00 pm, from September until June. Volunteers are needed to work with youth one-on-one or in small groups to provide homework help and/or to assist with activities, including Drama, Poetry, Fashion Design, Basketball, Digital Storytelling and Art, among others. ASPIRE was designated an Exemplary Program by the Massachusetts Department of Education in July, 2008. Boston Collaborative for Food and Fitness (BCFF): Youth Advisory Board - The BCFF is committed to engaging youth throughout Boston – particularly in the targeted communities of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan, East Boston, and Jamaica Plain – in order to meet its two-year planning grant goal of creating a Boston-wide strategy to increase access to healthy, locally grown foods and to create spaces for physical activity and play for all.The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) – a selected group of youth leaders – will work with professional youth workers from the various organizations involved in the BCFF Youth and Families Committee to develop a group project and engage in other activities that work towards the goals of the BCFF. The YAB provides youth the opportunity to take ownership of projects that are relevant to their interests and contribute to the success of BCFF. Youth ages 14-21 years who live in Boston and/or attend Boston schools are eligible to participate.
